    LAKELAND, FL - A 63-point explosion in the second half helped Florida Southern College men's basketball rally past visiting Lindenwood, 99-91, on Saturday evening at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House. Jonathan Lawton poured in 27 second-half points, and the No. 10 Moccasins (7-1) overcame a slow start by knocking down 58.1 percent of their shots in the final 20 minutes to defeat the Lions (7-6).

    CLEARWATER, FLA. – Katie Moore was Florida Southern’s top swimmer on the first day of the Spartan Invitational, barely missing an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 1,000-freestyle as the Moccasins finished the day in fifth place overall.
  • Harris Picks Up 160th Career Win as Moccasins Defeat Bluefield State

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's basketball set a program record limiting Bluefield State to a single point in the second quarter of a 93-41 victory. The Mocs (7-1, 2-0 SSC) and the Blues traded a pair of leads in the first two minutes of the game and Florida Southern never looked back. 
  • Beach Volleyball Reveals 2019 Schedule

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball head coach Hyrum Keime has released his team's schedule for the upcoming 2019 season, and the Moccasins are slated to play four home contests this year. The Mocs will host UT-Martin (March 5), Stevenson (March 23), Lincoln Memorial (March 25), and North Alabama (March 25).
  • Gums Picks up Two More Academic Awards

    Florida Southern junior midfielder Christoph Gums picked up two more academic awards Monday after the United Soccer Coaches announced their Scholar All-Region and All-America Teams. Gums was first-team selection for the Scholar All-South Region Team and a third-team honoree on the All-America squad.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's basketball earned the programs first Sunshine State Conference victory over the Eagles of Embry-Riddle, 75-59, on Wednesday night at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House. The Eagles (6-2, 1-2 SSC) jumped out to an early 6-0 lead in the first 90 seconds of the game before the Mocs (6-1, 2-0 SSC) rallied off nine-straight unanswered points to take a lead they would never relinquish.

The No. 15 Moccasins (6-1, 2-0 SSC) overcame a slow start to down the Eagles (7-5, 1-2) for the fourth straight time.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College's men's and women's basketball teams are joining together to raise money for Goal4theGoal, an organization dedicated to raising support in the fight against pediatric cancer. The Moccasins will join other teams from around the country by wearing gold shoe laces during Wednesday's doubleheader with Embry-Riddle, which begins at 5:30 p.m. with the womens game.

  • Rocket League Team Picks Up Win No. 17

    LAKELAND, FL - The Florida Southern College Esports Rocket League squad has been busy over the past two months, playing in 17 matches since the beginning of October. After a slow start to the season, the Moccasins have gone 12-5 over the past two months to improve to 17-11 on the season. Florida Southern has won 10 of its last 12 Rocket League outings, including a 2-1 record in its most recent competitions on Nov. 18.
  • Mocs Battle Cold, Muddy Course at NCAA National Championship

    PITTSBURGH, PA - On a cold and blustery day with a race time temperature of 42 degrees, Florida Southern finished in 30th place out of 34 teams over a muddy course here at the Bob O'Conner Golf Course at Schenley Park. The Moccasins finished with 814 points with Mitchell Kozik being the first FSC runner to cross the finish line placing 150th out of 261 runners.
  • Men's Cross Country To Compete at NCAA Nationals

    PITTSBURGH, PA - The Florida Southern men's cross country team will compete in the NCAA Division II National Championships on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Bob O'Conner Golf Course at Schenley Park with the men's 10K race beginning at 11 a.m. The Moccasins earned the trip with a third-place finish at the NCAA South Regional meet held Nov. 17 at Lakeland's Holloway Park and Nature Preserve.
  • 2019 Men's and Women's Track Schedule Released

    The schedule for the 2019 men's and women's track season has been jointly announced by first-year head coaches Matt Levassiur (men) and Stephanie Bylander (women). The Moccasins will compete in seven meets during the season while qualifying runners could compete in an additional seven competitions. All but one event will be held in the state of Florida.

    Three Florida Southern men’s soccer players have been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region Team, the first such selections for the Moccasins since 2011, and their most in one season since 1997. Earning second team honors were sophomore forward James Meehan, junior midfielder Christoph Gums, and junior defender Foster Appiah.

    LEXINGTON, KY - Less than a week after earning all-region honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), three Florida Southern College volleyball student-athletes were named as all-Americans on Tuesday. Nicole Mattson (first team), Bethany Besancenez (third team), and Rachael Martin (honorable mention) added yet another award to their laundry list of accolades this season.

PETERSBURG, FL - Freshman Mackenzie Steele connected on seven three-pointers for 21 points to lead five Moccasins in double figures as 14th-ranked Florida Southern easily eclipsed Daeman, 96-55, here Saturday at the Eckerd Thanksgiving Classic on the James Harley Court at the McArthur Physical Education Center. Steele's seven treys are one shy of the school record of eight set by Alli Fogle against Flagler on Feb. 14, 2009, and Alicia Evans against Saint Leo on Feb. 21, 2001.

    ST. PETERSBURG, FL - Le Moyne used a 28-point fourth period to upset 14th-ranked Florida Southern, 74-67, here Friday at the Eckerd Thanksgiving Classic on the James Harley Court at the McArthur Physical Education Center. The Moccasins led 48-46 at the end of the third period, but the Dolphins went on a 15-6 in the opening five minutes of the final stanza to go ahead 61-54. Florida Southern could not recover down the stretch. Both teams exit the contest with identical 3-1 records.
  • Moccasins Earn Three All-Region Selections, Mattson Repeats as Player of the Year

    LEXINGTON, KY - Nicole Mattson earned her second-straight South Region Player of the Year honors, and Florida Southern College volleyball teammates Bethany Besancenez and Rachael Martin also earned all-South Region honors when the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its all-region selections on Wednesday.
  • 2019 Florida Southern Softball Schedule Announced; Moccasins Open Season with Seven Straight at Home

    The Florida Southern Moccasins will begin the 2019 softball season with a pair of doubleheaders at Chris Bellotto Field the first week of February, kicking off a 44-game schedule, split nearly evenly between home and away dates. The Mocs will play three-game series against each of the other 10 Sunshine State Conference schools (five at home and five on the road), four non-conference doubleheaders at home, and three non-conference doubleheaders at neutral sites for a total of 23 games at home and 21 on the road.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's basketball set four program records en route to a 116-48 victory on Monday night inside Jenkins Field House. The Moccasins (3-0) used a 75-point first half to defeat Puerto Rico-Mayaguez (0-2). Sophomore Julia Jenike lead the game with 19 points scored.
