Men's Hoops Topples No. 19 Southern New Hampshire

LAKELAND, FL - Brett Hanson and Ben Marello each hit 20 points as Florida Southern College men's basketball took down No. 19 Southern New Hampshire, 74-71, on Saturday afternoon at Jenkins Field House. The Moccasins (8-5) came out on fire in the first half, but went cold over the final 20 minutes and were forced to hang on late as the Penmen (9-2) nearly overcame a 22-point second-half deficit.

LAKELAND, FL - A slow start to the second half proved too much to overcome as Florida Southern College men's basketball came up short in its attempt at a rally in an 81-76 loss to visiting Dominican (NY) on Tuesday night at Jenkins Field House. The Moccasins (7-5) led by four points at the half, but the Chargers (8-3) held the Mocs to just 41.7 percent from the floor in the second half to come away with the win.

LAUDERDALE, FL - Florida Southern placed five players in double figures, but it wasn't enough as Nova Southeastern connected on 10-of-14 free throws in overtime to post a 105-102 win over the Moccasins here on Saturday in Sunshine State Conference action. With the win, the Sharks remain undefeated at 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the league while the Moccasins drop to 4-4 overall and 1-3 in the SSC.

PETERSBURG, FL - Florida Southern College men's basketball nearly overcame a late double-digit deficit for the third-straight game, but could not finish off the rally in a 71-67 loss at Eckerd on Wednesday evening in Sunshine State Conference action. The Moccasins (4-3, 1-2 SSC) trailed by 18 points with less than eight minutes to play and battled back to take a two-point lead in the closing minute, but could not hang on as the Tritons (7-1, 2-1) held serve on their home court.

LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College men's basketball overcame a double-digit deficit for the second-straight game to run its win streak to three with a thrilling 88-87 win over Midwestern State on Saturday at Jenkins Field House. The Moccasins (4-2) trailed by 10 points with 2:53 to play, but closed out the game on a 17-6 run to stun the Mustangs (2-5) and win in dramatic fashion for the second night in a row.
