    LAKELAND - Florida Southern closed out the regular season with a 5-4 loss at home to Rollins on Friday in a Sunshine State Conference match here at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center. Four of the six singles matches went to a third set. The 44th-ranked Moccasins drop to 8-10 overall and close out the conference season with a 2-6 record and will compete next in the SSC Tournament at the IMG Academy in Bradenton on April 19-21. 
  • Heavy Storms Alter Tuesday Schedules

    LAKELAND, FL - Due to heavy storms and rain that swept through Central Florida on Tuesday, contests involving Florida Southern College beach volleyball, women's lacrosse, and men's tennis have been postponed. The Moccasin beach volleyball team was slated to play at Tampa at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, but that match has now been moved to April 23 at 7 p.m. in Tampa.

    MIAMI SHORES, FL - Florida Southern traveled to Miami Shores on Saturday to face Barry University. In the end, the No. 2 ranked Buccaneers defeated the 45th-ranked Moccasins, 9-0, in Sunshine State Conference play at the Buccaneer Tennis Center. Barry, which was the national runner-up last season, improves to 16-2 overall and 7-1 in the SSC while Florida Southern drops to 8-9 and 2-5.

    LAKELAND - The 45th nationally-ranked Florida Southern men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 match to No. 12 Embry-Riddle on Thursday in Sunshine State Conference action at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center. The loss drops the Moccasins to 8-8 overall and 2-4 in the SSC while the visiting Eagles improve to 11-5 and 4-2.

The Moccasins, ranked 43rd in the ITA NCAA Division II National Rankings, are now 7-7 overall and 1-3 in the conference while the Tritons drop to 4-9 and 0-7.

    MELBOURNE, FL - The Florida Southern men's tennis has been picked to finish seventh in the 2018 Sunshine State Conference Preseason Men's Tennis Coaches Poll released today by the conference office. The Moccasins received 23 points in the poll. Barry University received 64 total votes, including eight first-place votes, and is the #1 team in the preseason ranking. Barry has been crowned SSC tournament champion in five of the last six seasons.
