Men's and Women's Track Teams Earn USTFCCCA Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS – The women's and men's Florida Southern track teams have been recognized for their excellence in the classroom as both squads were named All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The women's track team posted a combined 3.58 grade point average (on a 4.00 scale) for the Spring semester while the men's team had a 3.13 team GPA.

Sam Clark, Emilie Flament, Ashley Murrary, Molly Price, and Amanda Slattery, all posted a perfect 4.00 GPA on the women's side, while Drake Baker and Cody Van Natter led the men's side with a 4.00 GPAs.

A total of 115 women's teams and 76 men's teams earned the distinction of being an All-Academic Team as a result of earning a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher.
