    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's basketball will honor basketball coaching legend Pat Summit during Saturday's game against Nova Southeastern as part of the Pat Summit Foundation's "We Back Pat" campaign. The Moccasins and Sharks will wear purple during warmups prior to their 5:30 p.m. contest at Jenkins Field House.

    TAMPA, FL - Anja Fuchs-Robetin put together another dominant effort, and Florida Southern College women's basketball overcame a cold-shooting first quarter to pick up a 57-44 win at Sunshine State Conference rival Tampa on Wednesday at the Bob Martinez Center. The Moccasins (13-3, 8-2 SSC) pushed their win streak to six-straight games, while the Spartans (12-5, 5-5) dropped their third in a row.
  • Blassage Earns SSC Player of the Week Honors

    MELBOURNE, FL - Florida Southern College women's basketball senior Jensen Blassage has been named as the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. Blassage averaged 20.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in a pair of victories last week. She led the Moccasins to a road win on Wednesday at Barry by tying a season-high with 22 points, and followed that up with 19 points as the Mocs crushed Rollins on Saturday.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's basketball put together one of its best all-around shooting performances of the season in a dominating 80-60 win over Sunshine State Conference rival Rollins on Saturday evening at Jenkins Field House. The Moccasins (12-3, 7-2 SSC) made a season-high 48.4 percent of their field-goal attempts and outscored the Tars (10-6, 5-5) 49-27 in the first half to cruise to their fifth-straight win.
  • Giardina Scores 21 as Women's Hoops Tops Barry

    MIAMI SHORES, FL - Jensen Blassage and Camille Giardina combined for 43 points, 27 of which came in the second half, as Florida Southern College women's basketball picked up its fourth-straight victory with a 78-66 win over Barry in Sunshine State Conference action on Wednesday night. The Moccasins (11-3, 6-2 SSC) also used free throws to their advantage, outscoring the Buccaneers (12-4, 5-3) by a 24-4 mark at the charity stripe.

The Moccasins (9-3, 4-2 SSC) led for nearly the entire game to pick up their first win of the New Year and snap the Panthers' (6-6, 3-3) two-game winning streak.

    LAKELAND, FL - Jirah Ards scored a season-high 18 points to lead four players in double figures as Florida Southern College women's basketball overcame a bevy of injuries to pick up a 70-61 win over visiting Lewis on Saturday at Jenkins Field House. The Moccasins (8-3) dressed just eight players for the game but were able to use a stifling defensive effort in the third quarter to erase a three-point halftime deficit and complete the comeback against the Flyers (7-4).

The Moccasins (7-3, 3-2 SSC) led by three points at the half, but a strong fourth-quarter by the Eagles (7-1, 3-1) proved to be the difference as ERAU squeaked by for a Sunshine State Conference victory.

LAUDERDALE, FL - Camille Giardina and Anja Fuchs-Robetin combined for 37 points as Florida Southern picked up a 68-44 win on the road at Nova Southeastern, handing the Sharks their first Sunshine State Conference loss of the season. The win improves the Moccasins to 7-2 overall and moves the team into a four-way tie for first place in the league at 3-1. The Sharks drop to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the SSC.

PETERSBURG, FL - Florida Southern College women's basketball hit an offensive skid in the middle two quarters and was unable to rally back in a 77-69 loss at Eckerd on Wednesday in Sunshine State Conference action. The Moccasins (6-2, 2-1 SSC) led by six points after the first quarter, but the Tritons (6-1, 2-1) outscored Florida Southern 41-26 in the second and third quarters combined to top the Mocs for the second-straight meeting.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's basketball head coach Betsy Harris has announced the signing of two players who will join the Moccasins for the 2018-19 season. Local product Mackenzie Steele (Plant City, FL/Plant City) and Austrian standout Rebekka Kalaydjiev (Vienna, Austria/Parhamergymnasium) will head to Florida Southern to play college basketball.

    MELBOURNE, FL - Florida Southern College women's basketball junior Anja Fuchs-Robetin has been named as the Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the SSC office announced on Monday afternoon. Fuchs-Robetin, who was the conference's Player of the Week on Nov. 13, helped the Moccasins go 3-0 last week to improve to 6-1 on the season and push their winning streak to five-straight games.
