BOCA RATON - Florida Southern dropped a 9-0 match at No. 6 Lynn here Friday. It was fourth nationally-ranked team the Moccasins have faced in their last five matches.

The Knights (16-3 overall and 5-3 in the SSC) took number one and two doubles by identical 8-2 scores. At number one, the team of Val Condalonieri and Rosalie Willig, ranked 15th in the country, downed the Mocs' duo of Miroslava Mensikova and Nina Vucevic while at number two, Carolina Cuevas and Alina Jane posted a win over Katie Taylor-Doran and Katie Stanfod. Lynn's Martina Gledacheva and Grace Mpassey recorded an 8-1 win over Cassie Eldredge and Shannon Griffin.

Florida Southern played the match without its top two players as Magda Riutort and Olivia Spagnuolo sat out the match due to illness, forcing the rest of the line-up to play two slots out of their normal flights. Confalonieri downed Mensikova, 6-3, 6-3, at number one while Willig beat Vucevic, 6-3, 6-2 at number two. The third singles pairing saw Cuevas defeat Taylor Doran 6-3, 6-2.
