LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College recognized its student-athletes, coaches, and athletic department staff at its annual Athletic Academic Awards Banquet on Tuesday night. More than 500 student-athletes, coaches, staff, and invited guests attended the event at Jenkins Field House.

DAYTONA BEACH - The Florida Southern women's track team continued its spring season by participating in three events in the Spikes Classic held here Friday at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
DAYTONA BEACH - The 4x800 meter relay team of Kassidy Watkins, Haley Blem, Aleksa Guerra, and Hannah Nelson set a Florida Southern record with a time of 10:10.18 here Saturday at the Division II Florida Collegiate Invitational. The time is just under 9-1/2 seconds faster than the previous record of 10:19.65 set in 2010 by Kassandra Gearlds, Leslie Shaughnessy, Carolyne Kwambai, and Karys Whitehead.

Five Moccasins competed in the 1,500-meter run with Kassidy Watkins leading the way at 5:09.66 followed by Aleksa Guerra at 5:11.10 and Hannah Nelson at 5:29.10. Rounding out the quintet were Emily Williams (5:51.18) and Summer Hepp (5:53.95).
TAMPA - Three Moccasin runners competed Friday at the Bulls Invitational here Friday at the USF Track on the campus of the University of South Florida.
TAMPA - Hannah Nelson ran a personal best 18:57.32 time in the 5000 meter run to pace a contingent of 10 Moccasins at the UT Track Classic here Friday at Pepin Rood Stadium.
DAYTONA BEACH - Florida Southern had of a pair of top ten finishes at the Embry-Riddle Last Chance meet here at the ERAU Track Complex. Jolene Vergauwen finished eighth in the 5,000 meter for the Moccasins' lone point of the meet as the team place 20th out of 20 teams.
