  • FSC Men's Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Team Honors

    TEMPE, Ariz. – The Florida Southern College men’s tennis team was honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as an All-Academic Team for the 2019-20 academic year. Additionally, 14 members of the team earned Scholar-Athlete status.

  • FSC's Hanson, Men's Basketball Team Earn Polk County All Sports Honors

    AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men’s basketball program, as well as recent graduate Brett Hanson, were honored at the Virtual 2020 Polk County All Sports Awards and Hall of Fame Ceremony, held earlier this week. The men’s basketball program earned Male Collegiate Team of the Year, while Hanson was named the Male Collegiate Athlete of the Year.
  • FSC Men's Golf Earns GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award for 2019-20 Year

    NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has named the Florida Southern College men’s golf program an Outstanding Team Academic Award Winner for the 2019-20 year. The Mocs earned Presidents Special Recognition status, with a team GA of 3.50 or higher. Only 15 Division II schools earned this distinction. FSC was the only such program from the Sunshine State Conference.
  • FSC Beach Volleyball Ranks Top-15, Earns USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award

    LEXINGTON, Ky. – The United States Marine Corp (USMC) and AVCA have announced the Florida Southern College beach volleyball team has earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2019-20 season. This is the third straight season that the Mocs have earned the honor. Not only did the Mocs earn the Team Academic Award they placed in the top-15 among collegiate beach volleyball teams, which includes collegiate teams from across the nation, regardless of affiliation.

  • FSC Men's Basketball Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award; Four Student-Athletes Named to Honors Court

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Florida Southern College men’s basketball team earned a 2019-20 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. In addition, four Florida Southern College men's basketball student-athletes have been named to the 2019-20 NABC Honors Court, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced on Wednesday. The NABC Honors Court recognized seniors Brandon Carroll, Jack Rauch, Jacob Schner, and junior Jalyn Hinton as men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season.

    NORMAN, Okla. — Four Florida Southern College men’s golfers were honored by being named First Wave Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars for Division II. The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced the entire list of 614 student-athletes, including 376 players from Division I, 99 from Division II, 108 from Division III, 18 from NAIA, and 12 from NJCAA. Honored from Florida Southern are sophomore Adam Alvarez, sophomore Max Coutsolioutsos, senior Chase Ibbotson, and sophomore Johnny Tucker.
