    WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. – On a windy night at Rinker Athletic Complex, the sixth-seeded Florida Southern College men’s soccer team (5-6-5) fell to third-seeded Palm Beach Atlantic (13-2-2) in the Quarterfinals of the 2019 Sunshine State Conference Championships, by a 3-0 score. The Sailfish, who entered the game No. 7 in the national USC coaches poll, advances to the SSC Semifinals to play at the second-seeded Florida Tech Panthers on Thursday, November 14.

    LAKELAND, FLA. – The Florida Southern College men’s soccer team has qualified for the Sunshine State Conference tournament as the sixth seed, and will travel to West Palm Beach on Monday, November 11, to face third seeded Palm Beach Atlantic at 7:00 p.m. in a Quarterfinal Round match. This is the third time in as many seasons that the Moccasins have qualified for the postseason, and seventh overall appearance. This is only the second year that PBA has been eligible for the SSC postseason, and the first time these two schools will have met.

    LAKELAND, Fla. – Ali Travis, Annie Collins and Lena Bondar all had career nights as Florida Southern College volleyball won a five-set thriller, 3-2, over Rollins College on Senior Night at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House on Thursday evening. The Moccasins (7-19, 3-13 SSC) earned the season sweep over the Tars (8-18, 3-13 SSC) for the sixth-straight season. The match was the last home match for seniors Collins, Courtney Charneco, Buse Ene and Anica Popadic and graduate student Bondar.

    Greenwood, Ind. - Florida Southern College women's soccer senior defender Caitlin Quaempts was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District® team announced on Thursday for the second-straight year. As a senior, Quaempts started in 12 of her 13 games played and recorded a goal and an assist as a prominent member of a Moccasin defense that shutout the opposition six times in 2019.

    GREENWOOD, IND. – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) honored two Florida Southern College men’s soccer student-athletes today with 2019 Academic All-District® laurels. Senior defender Claus Lehland and senior midfielder Eneko Lasheras both were voted onto the NCAA Division II District 5 team, which comprises 13 student-athletes from the Gulf South, Southern Intercollegiate, and Sunshine State Conferences.

The Moccasins are slated to play 14 home contests this year. The season will open with four home matches against Erskine (Feb. 29), St. Johns River College (Feb. 29) and a doubleheader against Tennessee-Martin (March 3).

Sophomore Cali Larson knocked home a pair of goals for the Mocs (5-8-2, 2-6-2 SSC). Freshman Jenny Staten held the Spartans (5-8-1, 5-4-1 SSC) scoreless for 90 minutes for her fifth clean sheet of the season.

    LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern College volleyball took a set against defending NCAA DII National Champion Tampa but fell 3-1 on Tuesday night at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House. The Moccasins (6-19, 2-13 SSC) hit well early against the Spartans (20-6, 13-2 SSC) but fell behind in the final sets. The Mocs will play the last home match of the season against Rollins on Thursday, Nov. 7 on Senior Night.
  • Rocket League Sweeps Comets, Advances to Bracket Final

    LAKELAND, Fla. - It was a freshman frenzy on Monday night as Florida Southern College esports Rocket League dominated in its bracket semifinal match of the NACE Rocket League Championship, sweeping UT Dallas B in a 3-0 rout. The Moccasins (10-3) pulled out two overtime victories over the Comets (9-4), with freshmen Casey Freudenthal (Kabit) and Isaac Garay (Pranzor6) scoring all nine of the Mocs' goals for the evening. FSC now advances to the bracket final against Aquinas. The match will be broadcasted on the program's Twitch channel at FSCMocs.com/twitch, with the winner facing the victor of the Bracket B final late that night.

The Moccasins have now finished fall play and will turn their attention to the spring season.
