MELBOURNE, FL - Florida Southern College men's lacrosse student-athlete Austen Lison was named Sunshine State Conference defensive player of the week announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. Lison picked up 13 ground balls and caused 12 turnovers as the Mocs went 2-1 last week.
He recorded a goal in both of the Mocs victories and an assist. He began the week, causing a pair of turnovers and picked up five ground balls and was a 1-for-1 on shots on goal. In the Mocs only loss on the week, he picked up six ground balls and caused six of the Abbey's 22 turnovers. He finished the week with four caused turnovers and a goal as he was again 1-for-1 on shots on goal. He totaled two groundballs for the Mocs.
Lison and the Mocs are back in action Saturday at Palm Beach Atlantic (March 30).
