FSC Men's Swimming Falls at Florida State

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – The Florida Southern men's swimming team went head-to-head with Division I Florida State University, and lost to the host Seminoles, 207-74.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Junior Matias Lopez had a strong day against top competition, winning the 200-backstroke (1:51.92), and the 200-IM (1:53.26), while placing second in the 100-back (58.19).
  • Freshman Luka Prostran captured second in both distance freestyles, the 1000 in 9:42.98, and the 500 in 4:40.93.
  • Also swimming well throughout the event was junior Miguel Bernotti, who took second in the 200-fly in 1:52.35, ad fourth in the 100-fly in 51.17.
  • Senior sprinter Talor Hamilton placed third in the 50-free in 21.28, just .12 seconds behind the winner.
  • Junior Carlos Bernotti placed third in the 100-free in 46.24.
  • Junior Brandon Dyck took third in the 100-back (51.29) and fourth in the 50-free (21.88).
