  • Florida Southern Places in Top-10 Percent of Division II With Academic Success Rate of 90 Percent

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Florida Southern College athletics continues to promote student-athlete success in the classroom as the department earned a Division II Academic Success Rate (ASR) of 90 for the 2012 cohort, the NCAA released on Wednesday. The 90 percent mark is tied for the highest mark that the department has ever earned, with the previous record set during the 2010 six-year cohort.

  • Softball Announces 49-game Schedule for 2020

    LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern College head softball coach Chris Bellotto has announced her schedule for the 2020 season. The Moccasins will take on 11 opponents at Bellotto Field in the spring and will kick off a 48-game schedule beginning with a doubleheader against Ursuline (Feb. 3). The Mocs will play a three-game series against each of the other 10 Sunshine State Conference schools (five at home and five on the road), five non-conference doubleheaders at home, and five non-conference games at neutral sites for a total of 26 games at home and 22 on the road.
  • Bellotto Adds Triner to 2020 Staff

    LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College softball head coach Chris Bellotto has announced the addition of Monica "Mo" Triner to the coaching staff for the 2020 season. Triner comes to Florida Southern following nearly ten years of service to her alma mater, the University of South Florida. Most recently she has been providing private lessons in the Tampa Bay area.
