The Florida Southern women’s golf team and three of its individuals have been recognized by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association for their academic achievements during the 2018-19 school year. Under head coach Robbie Davis, the Moccasins had a team GPA of 3.636 to rank 16th in NCAA Division II, while senior Tori Higgins, sophomore Shelby Lewis, and freshman Nathalie Svensson were named WGCA All-American Scholars.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Florida Southern College finished 18th in the final 2018-19 NCAA Division II Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup standings, it was announced this week. The Moccasins made a combined 11 NCAA postseason appearances this past year, including top-10 finishes in men's golf (third), women's basketball (ninth) and women's lacrosse (ninth).
For the second year in a row, Florida Southern junior Amanda Gartrell has been named a Second Team All-American by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association. First team selections were announced at the conclusion of stroke play at the national finals on May 15, and the second team and honorable mention honorees were announced Monday night, May 20.

The NCAA Division II South Region Tournament gets underway Monday morning at Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tennessee where Florida Southern is one of 12 teams competing for four spots in the Division II National Finals. Lee University is serving as host for the three-day, three-round tournament that is one of four regionals being played across the country this week. The top four teams in each of those, along with the top four individuals not with the advancing teams, will move on to the national finals in Palm Beach Gardens, May 14-18.
INDIANAPOLIS – The Florida Southern women’s golf team has been selected to compete in the 2019 NCAA Division II South Region Tournament as the No. 7 seed in Cleveland, Tennessee.
