Riddell Earns 200th Win as Women's Tennis Cruises over Tritons

ST. PETERSBURG, FL - Head coach Trish Riddell earned her 200th win at the helm of Florida Southern College women's tennis as the Moccasins cruised to a 6-1 victory over Eckerd on Friday afternoon at the Bullard Courts. The No. 14 Moccasins (13-4, 4-2 SSC) won in every matchup barring the No. 6 singles flight, where the Tritons (5-10, 0-6 SSC) won by default. Riddell is now 200-114 all-time and is second all-time in wins behind Dr. Ed Jeffries' 250 victories.

Natalija Popovic won her 50th match as a Moc, winning 6-1, 6-0 over Bailey Kornich in the No. 4 singles flight. Lorena Rionda and Lola Asis remain tied for the team lead in singles wins with 12-3 and 12-4 records, respectively. Gabby Hesse improved to 4-1 in singles play by defeating Cassidy Lear 6-2, 6-0 and senior Carolyn Cureton made her 2019 debut in the No. 3 doubles flight, pairing with Hesse in a 6-2 victory.
